The goodness of God

The moss-covered stone, the veined leaf, the billowing wave
The arch of my brow, the fullness of breath
Lightning under the anvil of the thunderstorm
A hand to hold mine in the valley
A song to flow with the rain
A daisy chain of hope to bind a giant
The comfort of a meal with friends
My cup of coffee savored in the quiet
Sleeping and waking under the cover of His wings
Free to run yet welcome to return
The joy of knowing and being known
A verse of scripture sweet to the taste
A whisper of comfort to still the soul
The assurance of eternity
The kairos moment
Strength made perfect in weakness
A heavenly plan for all earth
These things remind me of the goodness of God.
Surely Your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. (Psalm 23:6)
